The Plague Of Emotivism

Nearly half (47 percent) of practicing Christian millennials – churchgoers who consider religion an important part of their lives – believe that evangelism is wrong. Specifically, they believe it’s wrong to share one’s personal beliefs with someone of a different faith in hopes they will one day share the same faith.

Evangelising like you mean it requires going against the cultural grain, “Cultivating deep, steady, resilient Christian conviction is difficult in a world of ‘you do you’ and ‘don’t criticise anyone else’s life choices’ and emotivism, the feelings-first priority that our culture makes a way of life.”

The Most Important Mother In The Bible

By all measures, Mary is a most remarkable woman. Chosen by God to bear the Messiah, there are few women in history who are regarded as highly as Jesus’ mother. Some Christian traditions, like Roman Catholicism, have granted Mary an almost God-like quality. This has developed over many centuries, with early church fathers extolling Mary’s virtue above all women.
While some Protestant traditions have latent Mariology in them (e.g., Lutheranism, Anglicanism), by and large Protestants reject Catholic dogmas concerning Mary, often considering them ‘Mariolatry’ or a form of idolatry that detracts from Jesus’ supreme place as sole Mediator and Saviour. At times, though, in a possible over-reaction to Catholic doctrine, Protestants treat Mary with an irreverence that considers her just another woman.

Although the DA does not classify itself as a Christian party, Maimane himself is an outspoken Christian with Pastoral training and a history in ministry.

You’re a Christian Mmusi, what do you have to say to those who are questioning your faith?

Do you encourage the respect of our Almighty Father in Parliament and in everything that you do here in government?

Craziness Enveloping The West

In the once-Christian world of ‘the West’, we seem to be awash in crazy thinking, which gets crazier by the day. These things are symptoms of peoples who have turned their backs on God, our Creator. When people abandon the knowledge of God, He gives them over to ‘futile thinking’, and we see it all around us today, as our nations have abandoned God and His Word, the Bible.

We need redemption through what the Lord Jesus Christ has done. Our fallen-ness manifests itself in all manner of deviations (sin) from God’s perfect purposes for us, but we have a wonderful hope available in Christ.
