In the church today, there are many sins that are seen as ‘socially acceptable’. Are we changing the Bible to fit our culture, or are we changing our culture to fit the Bible? While the sin of worry, for example, may not seem as severe as murder, it is an important reminder to us that God hates sin, that He longs for us to be spotless and pure, and that He looks straight to our hearts. It is much easier to condemn sins that are apparent on the outside, such as actions, but the internal, invisible sins are just as dangerous to our walk with Christ. Christians are called to be set apart, holy, and righteous.
