Characters Of The Bible: Angels

It may surprise some Christians, but angels appear all over the Bible. In fact, 34 of the 66 Biblical books make mention of angels. The English word “angel” comes from the Greek for messenger, angelos, but that isn’t the only Biblical word to signify these beings. Nor does that word necessarily mean an angelic being. It could simply mean a human messenger, too.
