Some seasons are simply hard. You may be tired, grieving, under pressure, or dealing with the consequences of a poor decision. Not every closed door is the enemy, and not every disagreement is spiritual warfare. Yet Scripture is clear that spiritual opposition is real. We have an adversary who deceives, tempts, accuses, divides, and wears believers down. The answer is not fear, but discernment. “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood” (Eph 6:12). We need to know what we are facing, stand on God’s Word, and stay close to Christ.

Spiritual warfare is real, but Christ is greater. “He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world”
(1 John 4:4). You do not need to see a demon behind every door, nor should you ignore the enemy completely. Ask the Holy Spirit for discernment. Test what you are facing against Scripture. Deal honestly with your own choices, recognise opposition when it comes, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. The aim is not to become fascinated with darkness, but firmly rooted in the One who has already overcome it…
