Jesus Died For You

The entire Gospel can be summed up in four words, “Jesus died for me”. These four words are the greatest personal truth in all eternity. Tribute to Nico Bougas

When a spiritual giant such as Nico Bougas dies, we experience mixed feelings of rejoicing and sad loss. Nico has already been crowned with the words, “Well done my good and faithful servant.” He had reached the age of 80, like Caleb, and he was still asking God for the “hill country.” He so wanted to do more for his Lord!

Nico’s passing is a huge loss for our JOY! readers, as he always wrote the monthly sermons for our magazine. Nico’s messages have featured in every single issue of JOY! Magazine to date. We know that his writings have touched the hearts of hundreds of thousands of readers.

Nico was the International Co-ordinator of Hellenic Ministries, a mission to Greece and Greeks worldwide. He was actively serving as the ambassador for Hellenic Ministries ‘Christ for Greece and the Nations’, moving between Greece, South Africa, and the USA.

All four Gospels describe, to varying degrees, the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the empty tomb.

But are there any good reasons to think that these claims are historically accurate? Could a fair– minded investigator conclude that, in all probability, Jesus’ tomb was found empty on that first Easter morning? There are several arguments that have convinced a good many historians that the tomb in which Jesus was buried was indeed found empty on the Sunday following His crucifixion.
