How foolish was I, too blind to see, exactly what you had in store for me,

All my pride and all my fear, but still, you chose to draw me near.

How foolish was I to expect your best, even when I chose to live just like all the rest,

What a cheek, to ask for more, when all I deserved, was you show me the door.

Less of You, and more of me, so on my knees you had me see, the saddest part of me,

Even then, you firmly held my hand, untiI I was humble enough to stand.

How foolish was I, too blind to see, exactly what you had in store for me,

All my pride and all my fear, but still, you chose to draw me near.

Now, my desert walk is done, and it’s time to get out of the scorching sun,

My thirst is quenched, by your Grace and Mercy, and for this world I am no longer thirsty.

Father, I am ready for a new day, and to keep honouring you in everyway.
