Question:

Preachers often make great claims about their ministries, but when I look at their lives I see lust, lies and misuse of money. How does God allow this?

Answer:

The Lord has given clear direction in His Word concerning the way we are to live our lives and we ignore them at great risk.
There is a Day of Reckoning ahead according to 1 Corinthians 3:13, when our lives will be put to the “fire test”. Everything that is worthless in the Lord’s opinion will be burned and believers will suffer great loss eternally. “The builders themselves will be saved, but like someone escaping through a wall of flames.” (v15).
2 Corinthians 5:10 says: “For we must all appear before the Judgement Seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” Matthew 7:21-23 makes excellent reading in this connection.
Pray for these men and women that they may come to their senses and repent before it is too late. And concentrate on being the best example of a believer you can be with the help of the Holy Spirit “in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity” 1 Tim. 4:12. The world is watching you too.
